So, the volunteers and willing designers for this project (previously requested) has had a great response!

I’ve managed to contact most of you back and asked for a sample / mock-up of your creative idea. The ones I have received so far are posted below for all to see and judge.

Calling all Web Designers and WordPress Theme Developers!

As we near the year 2011, CyanogenMod has gone through leaps and boundaries in ROM Development, phone support and not forgetting its user base. We want to take this further and give the users a fresh, new and intuitive website.

This is an opportunity for any web designers out there who would like to have there work right here on cyanogenmod.com

This website is built using WordPress and is what will remain for it’s ease of use and blogging system. If you are a web designer, professional or at college and would like to see your work as the home page for cyanogenmod.com this is the perfect opportunity. You will get full credit for the design on the website footer.

CyanogenMod is and always has been community based, so why not let the community become part of the design for the site. The actual CyanogenMod logo was created by a fellow CyanogenMod user.

Well, without stating the obvious the CyanogenMod website has been completely re-designed with a custom theme.

The theme now blends in more in line with our Forum and soon to follow also the Wiki.

I’m now working on the integration and other features between the CM Web portfolio. These are taking longer to develop and may take a bit more time before the implementation is fully in place.

The website has been upgraded to WordPress 3.0, this includes about 8 – 10 plugins.
