I’ve built a new version from Cyan’s source that adds a menu item so that you can turn off the (in my opinion) obnoxious zoom controls that jump up in your face whenever you so much as breathe on the screen. Obviously, if you’re running a Cyan ROM, you’ll still have his multitouch zoom in and out. If you’re not running a Cyan ROM, you zoom in and out from the menu options.

To use:

* the default is zoom controls turned OFF.
* to zoom, press menu and select Zoom In or Zoom Out from the menu, or use multitouch gestures. (If you can’t see Zoom In and Zoom Out on the menu, check you have “Zoom buttons in menu” turned on in the settings).
* to turn the controls back on, go into the settings and turn on Visual Zoom Controls – then it will act more or less as the stock browser does albeit with multitouch.
