- @m0unds I'm pretty sure senseui chops it into 8 or 10 units and regular Android just shows 5
- @mytharak Log.wtf in Android is a good one, and actually useful for those "// this should never happen" moments
- @kosi2801 I've seen some options like succession enable when they aren't supposed to be enabled. Going to try and track it down.

Your CM updater won’t get past the looking for root stage =( I deffinately have root.
Just flashed and tested all major features. Works a treat. Camcorder is in perfect working order.
Handcent works.

Power button won’t shut the screen off, long press still pulls up the power menu. Any ideas? (Loving the speed of 4.1.7 and 4.1.8)

Hi, for some reason, i cant flash the 4.1.8 (or any other) versions. Dont know what im doing wrong, i had the 4.0.3 version, and wanted to update to the 4.1.8 version.
I do as i always do when flashing a new ROM, enter fastboot, wipe, apply and then reboot, but i get stuck at the HTC Magic screen, and nothing happens.
I use the RAv1.2.1 fastboot.
Can anyone help mere here, because now im stuck with a boring ROM, and really want the cyanogen.
btw, i have also tried flashing the 4.0.3 again, but no luck, the same happens
Hi, im from Germany. I´ve istalled 4.1.8 and autocompled (what i mean are the word-offers while i´am typing) doesn´t work by typing emails or sms. There are no word-offers. Evereything is aktivated and my Language is German. Is there a Fix for this problem?
How do i switch from 5 home screens to 3?
Thankful for the ROM updates. Unfortunately the apps Qik and chompSMS do not work with v417 or v418. Bummer…

Thanks for the build. Wiped and installed 4.1.8, looks good. Some observations, PDF viewer doesn’t work. I see force/wait window for gmail, settings app. Can’t see all contacts in contacts list(this might not relate to this build). Also battery is draining little fast but can live with it. Does any one have the same problems?
@And User: Try reformatting SD card, then another wipe & install.
Amazing!! Home screen rotation isnt nearly as jumpy, and i especially like the process scheduling now! Downloads are a little slower,but its worth it for thigns to run smoothly during them…

@Eric: No options in CyanogenROMs for 3 home screens.
@jb: check settings of CM Updater. Make sure check for experimental builds is checked. Then do manual Check Updates with button on menu.
I’ve lost network signal and I can’t get it again. It is searching and searching but nothing happens. It gets error while searching for networks.
G1 on the other side of the 4 buttons is HOT.
After Home FC it is not going back again. It need manual reboot.
Camcoder is not working.

@AndroidFan: Will it help to flash Cyanogen Recovery, will it then let me flash the Cyanogen ROMs?
And is it possible to go back to the original recovery screen at some point, lets say if i need to get the phone to repair?

I just flashed to 4.1.8 and it is so fast! I love your work. I’m wondering if by the time it’s stable you’ll have the correct icon for “Applications” under “Shortcuts.” I’m an icon freak…sorry.

Used CM update to go from 4.0.4 to 4.1.9. The phone won’t go further than the T-Mobile G1 logo. Not even Android logo was seen. Restored the nandroid backup of 4.0.4.
Anyone can think of any reason?
Installed 4.1.9 on G1 phone wont boot now and cant even get the boot screen to come up by pressing power and home key help please i cant use my phone
This is definitely a nice update. I especially like the smoothness in scrolling around on web pages, it is no longer juddery. Also chompsms works fine on my htc magic.
After the screen comes off it’s impossible to wake phone up.
I’m after wipe, with fresh version of rom.
Anyone else able to confirm this issue? “Vibrate on keypress” in the keyboard settings is not really working. Worked fine in 4.04.
@Per: YES use Cyanogens Recovery Image. But heed warnings on page before installing to ensure your G1version is compatible. Once you start using Cyanogens Recovery Image, and get the hang of it, you’ll wonder how you ever got along without it. Way easy to use Nandroid, install ROMs in a few clicks. Etc.

YES an old version. Then try to upgrade to the v4.1.9.2 . I had problems at one time, and this worked for me.

Installed the 4.1.9.2. Still having problem with PDF viewer. Its pops the window, gets into landscape mod automatically and disappears. This time I formatted the SD card also. Does any one have the same problem?

My question is, will it be possible to get back the old camera/camcorder from 4.0.4?
Also, I’ve just about given up on widgets. None of them seem to work any more. I realize that a lot of them are third party, but the calendar widget doesn’t work. I can live with all that thanks to the increased speed of 4.1.9.2.

Have you tried wiping the phone? I have been using both ChompSMS and the Calender Widget in both 4.1.7 and 4.1.9.2 without problem.
Also, dumb question: What is VK? Is it Voight-Kampff?

@AndroidFan: I have worked it out, it was because i have an 32A model, and the kernels are for 32B, so my problem was that i needed to first flash the ROM and then the 32A kernel, did so, and now its working perfect

4.1.9.2 went on my G1 like a dream, wow, great work.
But, how do you get to the “extended menus” re: your screen shots of “extended home”.
Way cool, I might just give up my BB Bold 9000 (at&t in NYC) IF someone could make a decent push IMAP mail client!

The pdf viewer works when I try to open the pdf file using Linda file manager. It doesn’t work when I directly click PDF viewer. Not sure, if its default behavior. I don’t care much as long as it works.

I was seeing the same behavior via WiFi and EDGE in 4.1.7. Clicking RETRY worked each time… frustrating but not a deal breaker.

Yes, TWICE I wiped & installed v4192 from download page.
Still have no CamCorder audio.
Bummed. But glad everything else seems to be OK.
4.1.9.2 upgrade went great on the MyTouch. HTC_IME issues are resolved for me. No force closes since updating. No delay when going to unlock the screen. Really great update. Thanks!
