HEY!
I GOT IT!
THERE’S A FRICKIN space in between the “sh” and the “.”
Now it works, shows that i now have:
………..Total……..Used……Free…Shared…Buffers
Mem: 107068..105488….1580…. 0……. 540
Swap: 31644…….5236..26408
Total: 138712..110724..27988
So what does this all mean now, I know its good, but in practical terms, whats this gonna do for me?

Been using this ROM since it came out. I Think its a great improvement in interface and speed. Love the details and the improvements with the contact list. I only still seem to have problems with my bluetooth headset, when its paired i loose all sound and cant hear any calls and ended up having to reboot the phone also happens if I connect the wired headset. Not sure if there is something that I am doing wrong. Not having the IM client is ok eventhough I did get an update notification that said IM client wasnt sure if i was able to download right from the updater or from the site. I am new to rooting but Cyan has proved from all the reading that it is the best out there.
Any assistance that anyone can give would be appreciated. my email is Diaz.Vince@gmail.com
Thank you
Keep Up the great work!

larsGot the same problems with the multitouch doing an “all-the-way-in-zooming” when fingers get too close, or I accidentially release one of the fingers from the screen for a short period of time… Other than that… this is amazing work you are doing… BRGS

*** To everyone that says they can’t sync email past CM 4.x.x ***
I had the same problem, not sure exactly when it started. I just did a factory reset from the Cyanogen boot menu and it fixed all the problems I was having, including the email issue. In case you’re wondering, it doesn’t do anything to the base OS (you’ll still have whatever CM version you had), it just wipes your data and applications.

@42. The N1 runs Android 2.1 and people are still looking for roms, so why not on a Droid that runs 2.0.1?

What would you all do in this situation?
G1 rooted with Cyanogen 4.2.12.2 and SD card set up with the three partitions (for apps2sd) and all working perfectly.
Then I got my Nexus and yanked the SD card above to put into my Nexus.
I pulled out a blank 8gig SD card and put the three partitions on it and put it into the G1 and wiped the G1 and reinstalled the 4.2.12.2 update.
I gave the G1 to my friend. I put her Tmobile SIM card in it. All works fine except two things:
(1) quite a few force close messages; and
(2) any time we try to download something from the market, it tries but fails. Not sure if the download process is failing or the install process. “The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.”
What would you do?

Regarding my message #49 above, here is another clue.
I went into terminal and tried to install Amon Ra’s recovery.
I got the following message when i tried to mount -a:
mounting /system/modules/modules.sqf on /system/modules failed: no such file or directory
and
mounting /system/xbin/xbin.sqf on /system/xbin failed: no such file or directory

After installing 4.2.12 (updated from 4.2.9) my market-app and gmail-app (and maybe more, haven’t found out yet) seem to have disappeared. Icons on homescreen say “application is not installed on your phone” and I can’t find them in the apps-tray. Can anyone tell me what has happened and how I can get them back? Tried to reinstall 4.2.9 but they’re still gone.

I just read in engadget that Android 2.1 SDK is released. I read somewhere that the apps for the Nexus One can be extended to the SD card. I don’t remember where I read this or if it’s true, but if Cyanogen is working on an Eclair rom at all this is the next big step. BTW Cyanogen you rock man, you made my G1 perfect.

Not been really excited about the 4.2.12.2 release.
- a lot more laggy than back in the 4.2.9 days
- web browser lost the ability to set for desktop or android… where did that go?
I think I gonna revert and see if it speeds up.

I’ve got two apps that need to be able to change the screen brightness (flashlight) Looks like these latest roms have broken that ability
I know, there’s the power widget, but I don’t use the other widget icons and prefer a single shot from full dark to full bright (don’t want to tap-tap-tap to get where I need to go). Anyone else care about this?

Same experience has Bryan above, 4.2.12.2 seems to have slowed down the G1 (don’t know about other models) to the point of many times being not usable at all.
Among the last few releases 4.2.9.1 seemed to be the most stable and fast.

Hi, 2 questions:
1) Will be a an update to android 2.0 for G1?
2) If I have installed JF 1.51, how do I change to Cyanogen??
Thansk in advance

Also experiencing a really slow G1 with this rom, and broken screen brightness setting (apps can no longer adjust it properly). Gonna try 4.2.13 and if that’s no good either will have to revert to an older backup.

Overall, I’m pleased with this ROM. I do have a couple of complaints:
- Brightness controls don’t work from 3rd party apps
- “New” contact list acts strangely
The contact list problem might be caused by Google Voice, but I’m too lazy to remove and try to call my friends (and confuse them with my cell #).
The typical issue is that I tap the icon to call my wife, and it winds up calling someone else on the screen. It’s just very laggy and more than once I have called the wrong person. VERY annoying.

I just flashed cyanogenmod-4.2.13 rom to my mytouch 3g, and everything is running absolutely great. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that I don’t have access to the android market, google maps, google email, etc. Can someone tell me how to get those back on my phone with this ROM? email andy.bohl1978@gmail.com
