CyanogenMod-4.2.13

Another build in the “stable” series which should greatly improve stability. The services code should be backwards compatible so apps with persistent services should behave better. All-new multitouch code using the 2.0 API was added. Contacts app updated. Many other bugs fixed!

Get it with CM Updater or check out the XDA Developers thread!

since the nexus release, is the Dream/MT3G ROM development coming to a screeching halt?

Anyone else having problems with gmail app not actually syncing in the last few builds?

    Thanks for a great rom.
Finally made the jump from jf to this with complete wipe, sd repartition and format and manual backup of specific app data.
    All seems great so far.

“Anyone else having problems with gmail app not actually syncing in the last few builds?”

    i have those problems, too.
    1)kill mail app with taskmanager
2)deactivate every single check at data synch
    3)settings-applications-managa applications
4)clear gmail data and gmail storage data
    5) activate all the synch checks
    6)sometimes it works afterwards
7)if not try rebooting between step 4 and 5
8)if it works perform a nandroid backup and restore whenever gmail doesnt work

OK I took the plunge and installed this rom after running 4.2.9 for a while.
I lost the Market and reinstalled the rom, but did not get it back, I had to do a factory reset then reinstalled the rom and everything was fine, from what I can see so far anyway.
I held off on installing this rom because of feedback from everyone, I did not want problems, but I did have a few minor issues with 4.2.9
Great rom Thanks I hope theres more to come, a new rom on my G1 is like a new phone.

Ok cyanogen, when are you going to start doing G1 roms again? some of us aren’t as fortunate as you to be able to afford N1’s and we still have g1s for the time being. I want a Hero but you won’t support that so while I still have my G1 where’s the update for that?

IT IS ME AGAIN. REMEMBER ME?
I am terribly sorry that your 3 weeks old UPDATE is Outdated. Well if you CAN F*****G read he says he will give us a new ROM when he is done with N1.
So yeah. He did not forget

Installed the latest mod 4.2.14.1. Its great. Thanks. Seems more stable and my phone seem to be functioning lot smoother/faster. After applying the mod thru the CM updater the restart took a long while (in the order of few minutes, >5) especially at the G1 logo and later at the android logo. But everything seem to be working great (the contacts/dialer related, the multi-touch is much better, much lesser lag while scrolling the contacts, etc).

Folks like Paul Monroe Jr. needs to tone down their comments or not comment at all. This is an open source work done by cyanogen (Steve Kondik et al). I dont think anyone here has the right to demand stuff. Demonstrate some courtesy please.

Paul Monroe Jr. Deal with it. Go elsewhere if your not happy. It’s open source, no one is making you use this rom update. Hell, reflash the factory rom back on.

BTW, 4.2.14.1 seems to be great. No issues, seems stable. Thank you once again.

Why are comments closed in 4.2.14?

Since CM 4.2.12 it seems like i can’t receive picture messages. It gives out the media size restriction error. Have tried other roms and they work fine. Any ideas?

Paul Monroe Jr expects people who are making ROMs out of their free time for nothing, to update constantly.
Why don’t you go back to stock, idiot.

  15. #15 by Wimp35 on February 5, 2010 - 11:16 pm

Give Paul a break. He is just saying He would like some more support for Hero. He is not an idiot for asking that.

Since updating to this version, my wife has been constantly upset about how much it has slowed the phone down. Does the new .14 update fix these issues?

  17. #17 by Carlos B. on February 13, 2010 - 7:06 pm

I love Cyanogenmods and I think they’re one of the fastest builds out there but I’ve been having a gmail sync issues for the past few roms, and lately it won’t even send my mail, it will just leave it in the draft folder. I’ve tried clearing my settings and reflashing the phone with a fresh mod, but after a few days the same issue seem to come back. Does anyone know a fix for this? or is having the same problem?

also in google maps it won’t let me join Google latitude

I would put a little question, just for
curiosity, why not create the update with format .NBH?
