CyanogenMod-4.2.13
Another build in the “stable” series which should greatly improve stability. The services code should be backwards compatible so apps with persistent services should behave better. All-new multitouch code using the 2.0 API was added. Contacts app updated. Many other bugs fixed!
Get it with CM Updater or check out the XDA Developers thread!

Installed this yesterday on my G1. Gallery opens, calls are made, browser opens fine and the multitouch work great. Other than a force close on the home screen when it initially loaded up, everything else is fine.
can i apply the update that installs the AIM app to this version?
When home screen FC’s on bootup, Try removing your Widgets, rebooting, readd widgets, then reboot again. That solved my issues with a couple of roms. Its the widgets that freeze up i.e the clock.
I posted a bug on the bug site. I did see this in the log file.

can someone please tell me how to make this contacts.zip fix work. I put it on the root of my sd card. now what? please be descriptive.
Siani,
Rename the file to Contacts.apk (note the cap C)
open a term and type:
su
mount -o rw,remount /system
cp /sdcard/Contacts.apk /system/app/Contacts.apk
mount -o ro,remount /system
Note: Try to dial a phone number when you are done. Some of us are having problems trying to dial numbers. (just a heads up)
@slow
Thank you so much for your assistance. That worked perfectly. Afterwards, I can confirm that i’m able to make calls both by dialing a number from the dial pad and by selecting a contact and pressing the call button.
I find that one second the rom will be super fast, and the next it will be slow. Its almost as if it needs time to wake up if I haven’t used it in an hour.
To anyone having issues making calls and specifically seeing the CALL_PRIVLEDGED in their logcats, there is a fix but it’s potentially dangerous. The nandroid backup before is not a suggestion.

I saw this before you posted it on twitter, I feel so special
Unable to make it boot on my magic 32A
Even with radix999 4.2.13 kernel
Suggestions?
Gallery gives me some headache. It is semi-usable. I shows folders but when in the folder it wouldnt display pictures and freeze my phone. After a while it FC and then works fine until i go back to a folder view. Anyone else?
ok i figured it out. I showed a folder in which i had a *.wmv file. After i deleted that everything went back to normal. Going back to 4.2.13 hahaha
awesome. got it flashed and running FLAWLESSLY! thanks cyanogen!!
Did a complete reimage, all the way back to stock 1.6 and all the non-sence to get to 4.2.13. Even formatted the SD, re-partitioned and such. Now everything works great. Contacts works great, i can make calls, and everything is running fast as can be hoped for.
Anyone having big issues, just back everything up, blow it all away and start over.
ho do i install this version? i am runnin cyanogen ..13. should i download and put in the SD card and what should i do nex? please giude me thank you.
how do i install this version? i am runnin cyanogen ..12. should i download and put in the SD card and what should i do nex? please guide me thank you.
Once i updated to 4.2.13 i can’t receive mms from verizon and at&t. I can send them just fine and everyone receives them, but i can’t. I noticed in the Messaging app there’s no more 300kb restriction option to change that. Any ideas???
So far so good, this release has the fastest phone and dialer app and the overall OS has improved in speed. I have not found any glitches so far.!!!
I like that I can now listen to Pandora outside of the pandora application. Good Show.
Jeff
Anyone else having trouble with the Home button not working? Also the lock screen seems to have disappeared altogether! Flashed twice with same results – heading back to 4.2.12.2
it´s posible this rom for sciphone n21 dual sim?
This version is great! Runs very smooth compared to 12. Great job and thanks a lot.
Great job like always. No problems on my g1.
When connected to a PC via USB, it wont charge, wont recognize the phone, and it wont show the options to mount sd card. Cant make calls even after updating Contact.apk… Going back to 4.11.1
the only thing i noticed a few times was that the speaker phone would stay on if i started a new call… and had previously left speakerphone on. otherwise working like a dream on my dream
Can’t wait to see the 2.1 release!!!!
Rebooted, now when pressing the call button on a contact, I get “process android.process.acore has stopped…” with a force close button. Jesus talk about going backwards… Love what you do cyanogen but for some reason your roms hate me.
Runs great thanks.! You rock man.
For those having problems with the dialer, I followed the link and steps in post #9. Fixed me problem. I did have to reset my screens and reinstall a few apps, but I think I’m good to go.
is the IM app still available on CM updater? i dont see it on there and i wanted to add it back to this build
Having the same issue as #27 by GustavoJ – tried the dialer fix as posted by #9 psychoi3oy but that didn’t help fix the Force Close error when pressing on the dial button on the contact.
Love the Cyanogen Mods. Always fast. 4.2.13 phone app nothing but force close. Contacts don’t load in under 2 min. whole phone app REALLY slow. Tried wysie’s xda, 2.8b doesn’t help. reverting back to 4.2.12 until fixed…
To anyone having slow, sluggish performance and acore crash issues, I’d highly recommend you google Amon_Ra’s recovery image and use it. It’s super easy to do all the stuff you need to do to get your phone running fast again.
Shoot, tried all the fixes but none of them work because as soon as you reboot and go back to contacts and press on a contact to dial a force close error comes up. The long press dial bug was an easy fix but this one’s NOT! The only thing workaround that I’ve come up with is to gmail myself the Contacts.apk file posted on the xda forums thread and to continually use Astro file manager to install after reboot. So something’s definitely being erased whenever the phone is rebooted.
Steve, please let me know if you want/need me to post up my log. (And do I post it here or on the xda forums thread?) Thank you again for all your hard work!
I have never commented before but this i have to say. Honestly with out a doubt this release is the fastest, smoothest, and most stable my G1 has ever run.
Thank you. I am donating.
My gmail app wont let me send any mails out. i sent about 8 mails over 5 hrs ago n they still say “sending”. anyone else with this issue?
Flashed from .12 and gained more speed. I didn’t think it was possible but Cyanogen has shown me the error in my ways of thinking… THANK YOU!!!!!
Works very well… The MMS problem seems to have been fixed and the multitouch works way better.
My WISHLIST: Future to-do:
Built-in Calendar Agenda view from android 2.0 with infinite scrolling.
Isn’t this possible???
Just want to say that .13 runs so much better than the last two versions for me and all my issues with Pandora are fixed. Thanks.
G1 – Accessing the call log from the dialer is very slow. If I start from scratch how far back do I need to go? Right after root? Can I go from root to this ROM? Thanks in advance for any help.
@Tony Bullard
Isn’t this just a new recovery image? What would it do to improve performance?
Awesome build runs way better. THAnkyou1!
Cyan,
Thanks for your help. #9. ROM works great.
Rogers people, interesting post on androidandme.
Seems they are going to 2.1 in a few months, but leaving the dream behind. They are offering an upgrade to the magic version of the phone for all dream users.
http://androidandme.com/2010/01/carriers/rogers-wireless-to-upgrade-dream-owners-to-magic/
i’m assuming T-mobile will also leave the G1 behind?
It is really, really laggy going to the call log page anytime from anywhere. Everything else seems to do good, but when I want to make a call and just want to get to the call log so i can just quick hit redial it takes FOREVER! Cyan, I love your mods dude and you are doing a great job, this is just an fyi bro, nothing that is going to make or break! keep it up dude, and I can’t wait for your 2.0 to come out!
huh, so I just cleared the call log and it is very responsive now! Didn’t really want to do that, but took one for the team (haha, not really) and it is pretty snappy to it now. I will see how it goes, as I have A LOT of calls to make in the next couple hours and will see how the response time is to the call log and get back with ya! peace
I did the update yesterday with the contacts fix which seemed to work fine. I turned my phone off last night and now I cannot make any kind of call. Contacts, dialler, log all show data, but they all force close when I try to use them.
Great build! I’d reverted to the rooted OTA 1.6 build for a few weeks, as I’d had a lot of trouble with the CM roms since 4.2.7 or so.
This one has been great for a day so far. I immediately did the Contacts.apk update without even trying it first.

Working quite well. I hadn’t realized that the CarDock.apk was available! It’s great!
Very zippy build! So far no lag has occurred after running for a day. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Force close during long press on contact in dialer in recent calls on mt3g
I’ve moved from 4.2.12.2 to 4.2.13 with no any problems. This works smoother than ever before. Great job! Congratulation and again many thanks!
#47 jonny,
Its been addressed already, check the xda site for the fix.
