Another build in the “stable” series which should greatly improve stability. The services code should be backwards compatible so apps with persistent services should behave better. All-new multitouch code using the 2.0 API was added. Contacts app updated. Many other bugs fixed!

    Hi all,
    I have no problems. I use this great rom with the ENOCH theme. This theme had the new contacts apk already in version 12..
    Although it feels like the battery lasted longer in version 11…

    issues with flipping to gtalk via the notifications bar, force quits. without an option to wait. trying to figure out how to make it happen every time

    is the alarm clock working properly now?
    coz from 4.2.12.2 you always have to unlock it first even if the unlock option is disabled. :)

    Sorry if this was answered in previous builds, but where can i add back the tmobile im app? it used to be on updater, but i dont see it anymore.

    long-press on a phone number in the call log crashes android.process.acore every time. I’ve got MT3G 4.2.13 no themes.

    Here is a link to an updated Contacts.apk that will fix the long press crash. I didn’t make this, but I found the link on xda right under the links to the latest cyan rom.

    You will need to place this on the root of your sdcard and then open the terminal emulator and do this:

    su
    mount -o rw,remount /system
    cp /sdcard/Contacts.apk /system/app/Contacts.ap
    mount -o ro,remount /system

    Getting “The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly when dialing from contacts. I updated to 4.2.13 and downloaded the contacts program via the twitter link. Any ideas?

    Wish I hadn’t updated. Damn thing keeps rebooting, and I haven’t even opened the contact app.

    I can’t get a root shell with this rom. After pressing “Allow” in the confirmation dialog, the su command hangs up.

    I wiped my phone using (amanra’s most current recovery) and installed this update ROM. Had a few forecloses but nothing too major. Today I noticed that my phone keeps rebooting itself. Why is that? It’s rebooted itself at least two times today. Can anyone help.

    I just have two problems, I am getting the:
    The process com.google.process.gapps was closed unexpectedly
    error message
    And software in market won’t download…

    Is there a fix for the market?

    I am getting a problem with dialing too :-( . Long press, short press, dialling a number – none of them work

    that’s the worst version of cyanogen!i had different crashes+google maps not working+contacts crash (already instaled the update). i turn back to the previous version.i hope that the next update will be ok.

    The problems on here are most likely a user error, everything is working fine for the thousands of others using his roms… Like #7 zmesler said READ and check xda and READ! Run fix_permissions, wipe before you install, and of course make a backup first so if there is a problem you can easily revert to a good stable version!

    Moving back to 4.2.12.2. 4.2.13 just didn’t work for me. First the phone problem. Got around that by fiddling with permissions, but then a lot of services stopped working – including Google Maps, ….
    Hope the restoring fixes my problems.

    Contacts is a little glitchy has crashed a couple of times, and it lags alot i feel like its running a little slower than 4.2.12.2 i liked that one alot! Nevertheless good work wouldnt be here without your work props.

    Upgraded from 4.2.11.1 without any issues seems to be running without issues or significant lag aside from the on screen keyboard. thanks for all the updates. looking forward to the next rom.

    Hello all. First off, I love Cyanogen. It’s like opening a present every time there is an update. Second, can someone please point me in the right direction. I’ve looked in a lot of forums and sense I’m still kinda new to this, I don’t want to screw this up. I have the latest cyanogen and my sd card is partitioned but the apps are still saved on my phone. How do I move them over to my sd card? I can’t seem to find a straight answer or it just seems way to complicated. I thought Cyanogen automatically did that? I’m dumb I know. Does someone have a link? I’d be so happy :-) …Keep up the good work!

    One problem to me is everytime I press the phone button it jumps to the call log, and then the screen will be dying for ~20+ seconds to respond (I have around 300 call log records). The same happens everytime I touch the call log tab manually.

    I suspect this is due to the new Contact.apk as I saw it now can aggregate the call logs based on the contact names, while in version 4.2.9.1 it doens’t have this feature and the bad experience never happens (I jumped to 4.2.12 & 4.2.13 from 4.2.9.1). Now I’m going to flash back 4.2.9.1… anyone has the same problem? if yes then would this be fixed in next release?

    Hi all, I’m hoping I can get help here.
    I lost my g1, and I got a replacement.
    So I rooted it and flashed Cyanogen’s latest build (4.2.13) Everything’s fine until I opened up Google maps and tried to get a lock on my location.
    I’m now on my 3rd day without gps.
    Now I’m not sure if it’s a software problem or hardware problem. Am I the only one with this problem? =(

    Oh and I tried everything.I even left my g1 in my car while google maps try to get a fix on my location. The gps icon just keeps blinking.

    Well your Devolopers tools when you check list Processes it throws the phones into a endless loop of restarting. Whats the deal? how do i fix this please help

    It is better then the previous version but it still have some freeze especially annoying is that it freeze after unlocking. It happens even when the SD card has no EXT3 or any other linux partition.
    I roll back the 4.2.7.1.

    Hello!

    I am currently running 4.2.1, and have tried to update to the latest build. BUT, cyanogenMOD won’t let me download anything OTA.
    This is he message the cyanogen mod always tell me:
    “you are currently running an old version of cyanogen rom, please update…”

    PLEASE HELP!

    @Danilo I believe GPS is off by default, even for stock ROMs. That’s why the phone asks you if you want it to be able to determine your location when you set it up. Did you go through your settings and confirm that GPS is allowed to locate you?

    With every version of Cyanogenmod, it’s been gettting worse and worse. This ROM is now slow, sluggish, with too many “if it doesn’t work try this…” kid of workarounds required. I do appreciate all the good work that went into this. I hope the quality of Android roms improve greatly as time goes on. As it stands, none of these user contributed ROMs provide the basic requirements of being stable and speedy.

    This is the best Cyan ROM yet. I have been running Cyan ROM’s since the beginning. I just don’t understand all of the complaints. If you are having issues, follow the troubleshooting steps in the WIKI page. If that does not work for you, start back at RC29 and build your way back up.

    It looks like the web brower is now able to switch between pages without reloading, and this is a huge improvement for me

    Appart from this I am not too fond of the cosmetic changes in the browser (address bar in main window and thumbnails in Bookmarks)

    The Contacts app is way too slow on my HTC Dream, I’m switching back to the default app from DRC83_base_defanged. Too bad it doesn’t have BT support but I didn’t like the way calls were grouped by contact and there’s no way to disable this.

    Oh and last night while the phone was idle I had a lot of “Ljava/lang/IllegalStateException” et android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.finalize in the logs. Like several times per second. Might be related to the Contacts app, I’ll see if it happens again with the old one. This could be what caused #31 by Rocket.S

    …And since this is my first post here I need to say: great work !

    tether in bluetooth mode makes my magic 32B
    reboot every time.
    with 4.2.7.1 it works fine

    yes multi touch in browser and gallery is gone though swipe in gallery still works

    it run slow for me i never had a problem before until now it forcloses when i long press in call log and bluetooth not working going back to 12 please fix bluetooth

    I just decided to do a factory wipe instead of the update, (Using a recovery image earlier mentioned in these comments), and now everythings is running MUCH zippier than a standard update. also, the long-press force close was still there, BUT I DID NOT get the contacts.ap from XDA, instead I could make calls, so I just left it alone, a few fix_permissions, and reboots later, and (maybe this matters, but I did a long press during a phonecall, thats when it worked without the FC), and everythings is perfect. overclocked and all.

    Had the Force Close issue when trying to place calls. Tried the solution posted on page 2 post #9 (here: http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=953#c1) and it seems to have worked… FIX_PERMISSIONS took about 12 minutes and I ended up with having to re-link my phone to my Google account. Also lost the icons on my home screens and having to re-sync GMail and contacts, but I can place calls now. I wish it wasn’t quite as intrusive a fix, but heck, it’s working.

    4.2.13 works great on my G1. Only issue that i have run into is that Brighteriffic toggle is unable to change the display setting, the flashlight app is also much less bright. Had the same issue in 4.2.12, worked in 4.2.8. Any quick fix or know an app that works on this version.
