This is a fun release. We have USB tethering support (kernel drivers ported by Zinx), Bluetooth OBEX support courtesy of Erin@0xlabs, and some other goodies.

As I mentioned above my gmail force closes. Just noticed that when I go into manage applications I don’t have a folder that is labled gmail storage. Thinking this may be why it doesn’t work. Any ideas how to get the gmail storage up?

I followed the wiki to the letter and all I got was a SLOWER phone with crashing apps. Wish I knew how to change it back to default.

Is there a way to restore to factory default on my G1. I am not happy with the performance and constant updates and research to keep the mod working properly.

Jerimi, there are many sites that explain how to “un-root” your phone. I know there are instructions in the T-Mobile forums among others. Just google “unroot g1″ and you should find plenty of sources. Good luck.

Same problem as #45
On my G1 32B after upgrade from (less than)4.1.99 the way suggested by wiki (to 4.2.2 and then to 4.2.3.1):
1. Touch Input is terminated unexpectedly again and again and again. Solution: turn off Touch Input in Locale & Text.
2. Calendar not working*
3. Market is not working*
* “window” of application disappears immediately after application is started
4. First run of Teeter – “Can be ran only on HTC devices”. Second try: “Application is not installed”.
Google maps seems ok (not tested very well).

Does anyone have contact with Cyanogen? Is he still working on mods? There hasn’t been any activity for a few weeks, and while we all appreciate his efforts, there are a lot of people using his ROM’s and would like to know if there will be more forthcoming? This is not a complaint – just an observation….

Spoke too soon 4.2.4 rom just crashed and rebooted on it’s own for the first time today…fortunately, i was able to find and d/l 4.2.3.1 so i’ll be wiping and downgrading the install for now until 4.2.4.1 (aka a stable 4.2.4 release).
