CyanogenMod 5.0 (beta2) for Nexus One

Thanks to Google’s open-sourcing of the 2.1 platform and a lot of work by myself and many others I’d like to give you guys CyanogenMod-5.0-beta2 for the Nexus One.

It won’t be available on CM Updater during the beta period.

Check out XDA Developers for everything you need to know!

@Ray, yeah i get FC on live wallpaper, to be more specific only happens on the “polar clock” live wallpaper it always FCs, even with stock. Any ideas? Same thing happened with another N1 i had a chance to play with. BETA2 ROCKS!!

Help with rooting info. Is there a better set of directions. I used the wiki page. I have the n1 unlocked but can’t get any farther. I have rooted my g1 and mt3g just saying I’m not completely stupid. Thanks

The xda-developers link from the post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623498) states: “No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator”

Is there another link? Is this somewhere under Nexus One General? http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=557

If Cyanogen ports 2.1 to Dream/Magic before Google does I’m going to lawl so hard. Btw why don’t you work for Google Cy?

    Hi all,

First, I want thank you for your work and effort… I appreciate what you are doing for the community of obsessed “Dreamers”

I have my Dream for about one year and I test a lot of roms… only Cyanogen is working perfect in my Dream.

Please do not abandon your work… I really want to try the next equivalent rom before migrating to nexus one. The current budget is not allowing me to buy one.

    And now, between guys:
Do you know how many people were very impressed when they saw my White Dream Phone with the last Cyanogen rom? especially girls… :)

    Sincerely yours,
    AndroManiack

Yeah, I’m still on dream and will be for at least another 4 or 5 months. I would completely understand if cy stopped supporting it. I can’t thank him enough for the work he’s done thus far, making my experience with the dream not only functionally better, but also a hell of a lot more *fun*. I recognize that its a luxury to have someone, basically for the fun of it, producing something that I benefit greatly from for zero cost, and I will be sad, but completely understanding when it stops. So, Cy, muchas gracias – its awesome that you’re still supporting us but when you do need to stop…all good. I’ll see you when I update my handset :)

Plus, my 4.2.13 is so sick I swear its faster than my buddy’s droid (stock rom).

No please dont give up on the G1 just yet, I know Im being selfish and you have better phones to play with but I do love my G1 also the Nexus does not come with a qwerty just yet so I dont want to upgrade yet, told you I was being selfish. Thanks for everything worth all the cups of coffee :)

Can someone give some guidence on the announced google ota update. I’m assuming we will recieve but should we apply this update or wait for a future beta update that incorporates these changes into a new rom?

However i think that now the nexus cant access the whole 512MB RAM and we wait for an update from google..so may thats the problem..because sometimes it lags wherever you scroll (for ex. the internet , the menu ,the photos etc)..i think its a little bit choppy..
