CyanogenMod 5.0 (beta2) for Nexus One

Thanks to Google’s open-sourcing of the 2.1 platform and a lot of work by myself and many others I’d like to give you guys CyanogenMod-5.0-beta2 for the Nexus One.

It won’t be available on CM Updater during the beta period.

    so this is ONLY if you have the nexus one? this will not work on a G1 32B? I feel like I’m asking a stupid question here but I feel I must ask.

    Cyanogen has said he’ll support the g1, but doesn’t have the drivers yet (I think)… read his twitter feed @cyanogen for detailed info…

    Will the Nexus One and the G1 stuff be two different code trees, or exactly the same CyanogenMod release with just different kernels?

    What a bunch of whining drama queens.

    NO. Steve is not abandoning Magic/Dream ROMs.
    NO. The game is not over (but you just lost it).
    NO. He will not release an Eclair ROM for Dream/Magic until a couple things are worked out, most importantly video drivers and a 2.x base to legally flash over for googlybits.

    NO. You cannot have a pony.

    I just want to chime in and say thanks. I know you’re still supporting the G1, and I’m EXTREMELY grateful. It means at this point you’re not just being nice and sharing your personal mod with the community, it means you’re going back and taking care of people who still use a phone you don’t use any more. That’s very generous of you, and I really appreciate it.

    4.2.13 is a solid build that we have only had for 16 days.. sit back and enjoy its goodness. If you have to have 2.1 now go buy a Nexus : )

    Guys and Gals give Cyanogen a Break He just got a NExus Let the man work! Not to mention he does this on his free time he does have a DAY JOB and a LIFE! not to mention snowboarding season. There are many missing drivers to just “make” this availiable on the G1 or MT3G. I like most of you am on the G1/MT3g Still so lets just wait.. Keep donating and let the man work.

    I might not mind a half working G1 version. If it’s just stupid crap i don’t use anyways. And I want a pony, seems I was out the day all of you guys got one.

    Yay now i can go get me a nexus. been holdin on to the g1 cause of cyanogen i wouldnt leave it but now i can move forward to the nexus one. thank you lots steve keep up good work

    Not one comment from anybody about the actual ROM, get back on the subject people. Tried flashing beta1 to no avail, will see how beta2 does.

    Man I can’t wait for the Nexus One to actually be sold to Australians :( If the Cyanogen rom is anything like the G1 for the N1 it’ll be unreal. Keep up the good work guys.

    for everyone hurt cuz they want 2.0 & 2.1, other folks HAVE dropped versions for the g1/magic… check XROM and intension on xda.

    #18 and #22 im pretty sure cyanogen is only for dream, magic and now nexus. you could try the xda forums they mainly do htc modding but they probably have a forum for droids

    found a link earlier to something saying that you can change the colour of the trackball light on the n1 and was wondering wether it would be possible to write this into your next rom.
