where can we download the latest cyanogen roms for nexus since the site is down?
Try over at XDA, where you’ll find links mirrors and such
If you have a dream, as I do try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=688262
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=cyanogen+5.0.7.1
Click on the xda link, and follow the OP instructions.
Hi,
Anyone can tell me if the 10MB ram hack, is possible with 5.0.7DS for a Magic? If so, any link where it´s explained. THANKS
I guess you also could go to the following for more downloads at ; http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Latest_version for downloads also, almost forgot to dd this.
As for the 10mb hack, I wonder how that will effect the GPUs ability to provide active wall paper since that is where I believe the memory comes from. Just something to thinks about.
@Darknote I see your point, and agreed, IT´s just that after I am a few minutes using google maps, and try to go back to the desktop, it takes a while for the icons to load. I have a HTC Magic 32b, and i was looking for a faster response. I have read that the hack is not possible with the .33 kernel that our dear friend Cyanogen uses in the 5.0.7 ROM. Any ideas to improve performance? App2SD maybe?
THANKS in advance!!
Gota ya, yeah, that would have been your best bet for that particular problem. You could clear your caches and also if you are near full on app space that too effects speed. so maybe pull back in that area. I noticed a nice improvement whet I did those things.
Lately I have been wondering about building a purpouse built for SPEED. I really think there are things we could loose for speed. However I suspect that such a distro would not be too popular since every one wants that pretty UI, multi-touch, and other happyness…. including my self…sometimes.
Thank you Darknetone, and sorry for misspelling your nick name earlier. I will try that.
Overclock to 576mhz and use jitfix

Apparently links here are a no no, I posted them…now they are gone…anyway check the Wiki or XDA both will get you what you want.
Woah I was just in here and I didn’t see my links…. maybe its too late…and maybe am loosing my mind…maybe…
Wow, that server must not have had a good time if the forums are down this long lol. is it a smoldering heap of melted parts?
Hope you have luck fixing it. seems strange hitting the site and not being able to use them =)
@Darknetone I think I fixed the problem! I didn´t enable the option for the “Launcher to be always in memory” in Spare Parts, now is always there!! Thank you for the interest shown and the replies.
it’s back up, BTW.

if you have any troubles with the slow home screen on your magic read this!:
when you open an app and go back to the home screen it takes a lot oftime, verry annoying! to get rid of this do the following:
go to spare parts —> enable compcache —->enable launcher in memory ! do this and you have a phone that works like a charm!! guaranteed!!
my God, i thought you were going to chip in with some decisive insght at the end there, not leave it with ‘we leave it to you to decide
