Ladies & Gentlemen,

I have implemented a new forum into the website. The purpose of the forum is for the disussions about the CyanogenMod products.

It was not built to compete with other forums, or act as just ‘another android forum‘.

IRC is great, but nothing is stored. People are often repeating themselves. We decided that a CyanogenMod forum would make life easier for everyone to search information and knowledge that will be stored in our threads. Think of this as another means of communication for the CyanogenMod products.

    I’d have a look at that (if a new version comes for Dream/Magic -N1 not available in France so cannot afford it).

    How long does it take to make a 2.x rom for G1/My touch? Manup 45 already has a 2.1 rom with live wallpapers for the G1 and it works GREAT! I feel sorry for you G1/My touch suckers who are waiting for Cyan to drop a 2.x rom. It’s not going to happen he’s just going to throw bits from Eclair on top of that shitty 1.6 rom. Dont hold your breath too long. LOL

    Jon po, what’s the point of a message like that. If you don’t like cm and all that he has done then don’t visit his website. Stick with manup and I’m sure you will be happy for a small time. Mean while I will wait with baited breath for cm update as they continue to exceed expectations.

    Jon Po,Arno- quit whining! When Cyan releases, it is the good and pure stuff, not a bunch of kludged together bits. If you aren’t willing to wait that’s your issue, not theirs.
    I, for one am willing to wait. When it’s right, it’s right and I’m sure we will all know when it happens.
    Oh, and forums is GREAT idea…now to just get folks to use them…

    This message is for Stupid Munky, I never said I didn’t like the ROMs. I was asking how long does it take to make a ROM. Cyanogen does great work and I’ve been with him since the beginning and running current version on my old G1( I have a Nexus One now). Oh and Stupid Munky your a nut licking ass kisser. LOL

I started with JesusFreke back when he released an RC33 version of his rom. I am a fan but I go with the person who has the better product, I am a man of very little patience hence my remarks. You assholes need to grow up and spend some money that way you can stop bitching about a G1 ROM, the phone is almost 2 years old. That is considered prehistoric in the computer world if you didn’t know. I have a house with a mortgage two car payments, school payments and other bills yet manage to save money for an N1. Most of you assholes live at home with mommy still yet cant afford a new phone, you shouldn’t be mad at me you should be embarrassed that your self for being a loser. You know if you get a job you can afford one too instead of waiting for Christmas so your mommy and daddy can get you one. Oh yeah I am laughing out loud Ha Ha!!!!

    I’m guessing this pointless abuse is supposed to put us off Cyanogen’s new forum? The thought that all this hate is going to dominate? I don’t like it when someone’s hard work goes to waste like that.

    I love the ROMs, even though it’s not always an easy path to follow. I love when people help each other out to get around tricky problems in these forums. I’m really put off by the abuse (which is different from feedback) and (even worse, I believe) the counter-abuse by people who want to stifle free speech.

    Please, people: we all know a hater when we see one, and it is still helpful to hear from someone who isn’t having a great time with CyanogenMod. But if you don’t have something constructive to say in return, I propose it is best to avoid fanning the flamers.

    (I never check back for replies, so any hate directed at me will be like shouting at the wind. Only in public.)

    I have been using the forum and everyone is helpful and friendly. This is not at all what it is like. It is a great forum.

    I agree with the people who say that we need to be patient. CM has proven over and over again that his ROMs are top notch, and will always beat out everyone else. The backports are working great, and I wouldn’t want Eclair running really slow on my G1.

    In terms of the one showing nothing but negativity in this thread, all I have to say is that you are terrible with money if you have that many things to make payments on…and no, I don’t live at home with mommy. I can afford an N1 if I wanted, but 1) The Droid is better (with a way faster chip), and 2) I think its more interesting to notice how much the G1 has been pushed. I almost don’t care if CM comes out with a ROM that causes my G1 to explode. This journey has been nothing but incredible to watch.

    The forum was a great idea. I am definitely going to maintain being an active reader/poster.

    OK. So we have established that N1 users are spoiled, G1 users are lazy, and everyone is gay. Good work everybody, let’s a call it a day.
    But for those who are interested in getting good information regarding your phones, these forums are turning into a great resource. Much easier to navigate than other forums currently are.

    Just for the record Awesome( you sound pretty stupid to me) the Moto Droid has an 800mhz processor while the N1 has a 1ghz you tell me which is better and faster thats if your not retarded. Oh and I am great with money and my credit is Superb thats all I care about. Talk to you later STUPID!

    Yeah…the Droid is only clocked at 800MHz…Snapdragon is a slow processor because its inefficient. The processor in the Droid is 1000x more efficient. The DSP in the Droid is what makes the Droid super fast. How do I know this? Gee, probably because I work on these processors for a living. So before you start calling me a retard, maybe you should 1) get good with money (your credit is good because you can make your payments, but i hope you lose your job so your credit plummets), and 2) learn something about computing.

    Don’t feel bad because your Droid was obsolete in only two months, if that. Not saying it isn’t a good phone, but I have compared my Nexus One running at 1ghz to my friends Droid and my Nexus was much smoother and quicker to load certain apps. Anyway this forum is for Cyanogen ROMs and you have a Droid, what the hell are you doing in this forum? Are you lost little buddy? Go find the right forum dumb ass and good luck with your fantasy job. You working with processors… please you sound like the type to sit home jerking off in front of the computer all day. Have fun!

    Clearly you didn’t read that part of my first post. I have a G1, not a Droid, you idiot. So yes, I follow CM.

    No need to be jealous because your job isn’t nearly as awesome as mine. And about the Droid being obsolete…Check the numbers. The Droid is STILL outselling the N1 because the N1 was LATE. You should try reading about these things before you start making random insults at people. Give Steve a break. He’s got enough to do.

    I see we have some pros and some whiners.
    Don’t get me wrong some of you loose plenty of sleep and work very hard to achieve greatness.
    I wanna tap your knowledge.
    I see this will be the new way to survive for all nations from simple tasks to finding lost loved ones.
    Applications will need to be built.
    Let’s build an informed world.
    A less misguided population. Especially in our own back yards.

    Hey. New to android. Not sure If this question has been asked but will you be working on mod for the HTC droid eris? I love this lil guy but am growing weary of this buggy 1.5 that reboots itself a lot, and the slow rotate when I try to switch orientation.

    Installed cyanagen mod, went smooth so I thought. Can’t establish a rellable connection to Google account. Been trying for 3 days. Can anyone help?
